Mizuki
Anime usually features young children living alone, but Kotaro Lives Alone is an extreme version of that storyline. In Kotaro Lives Alone, a four-year-old boy finds himself living alone in an apartment complex. He meets other residents and makes friends. As he grows older, he learns to be more responsible. He is a model for his neighbors and makes them feel welcome. But he has some problems and needs help.
Kotaro is a shy child who doesn’t like to show his emotions. He considers it weak to be emotionless. However, he does have a mature thought process. When a sick classmate explains that he cannot infect others, Kotaro changes his mind. He also learns to speak Japanese with his teacher.
Mizuki is a neighbor who works as a hostess. She tries to keep Kotaro company. She is also trying to help him get over his mother’s death.
Akane
Despite living in a shared apartment, Kotaro lives a pretty independent life. He learns to live by himself and cooks his own meals. Kotaro also has a knack for writing. His parents are fans of his work. He also has a friend named Karino.
Kotaro and Akane are friends who have a long-distance relationship. They text each other often and share many of their thoughts. Kotaro and Akane have difficulty expressing themselves when they are not in each other’s presence. They agree to keep their relationship secret from the outside world.
When Kotaro and Akane go on a field trip, they agree to start dating. Kotaro’s mother dies and he has to move to an independent apartment. Fortunately, Kotaro is able to keep his relationship with Akane a secret.
Life is like a roller coaster
Despite being a kids show, Kotaro Lives Alone is packed with emotional lessons. The series demonstrates various trauma recovery techniques. There is also a lesson in self-awareness. The protagonist, Kotaro, displays emotional maturity beyond his years.
In Kotaro Lives Alone, a four-year-old boy is abandoned by his parents. He is then left alone and hungry. It takes time for him to figure out how to live a normal life. He makes friends with his neighbors and learns about their lives. The relationships between the neighbors are dynamic and the show highlights their unique bond.
Kotaro and Karino become close friends. Karino makes sure Kotaro is safe from harm and treats him carefully. Karino believes that Kotaro is a family member. When Karino’s girlfriend, Mizuki, arrives, he makes sure Kotaro is taken care of.
